About the author
Marcus Gilroy-Ware researches and writes about media, communication and culture. A graduate in cognitive science and law, Gilroy-Ware has lectured in journalism departments for nearly a decade, and has also worked as a designer and web programmer since the early days of the web.
While never losing its political grounding, his written work is interdisciplinary and culturally oriented, reading technology, language, politics and economics to understand human beings and the historical moment in which they live.
Filling the Void was conceived while Gilroy-Ware trained aspiring journalists on the flow of information across the web, and carefully studied the irrational, intensely human ways in which most people use the web.
